Magdalena Halbgewachs
2018 EAGLE student | Member of the Students' Board
Magdalena Halbgewachs (23) comes from Munich where she also did her Bachelor in Geography with the minor in Land, Water and Environmental Risk Management at the Ludwig-Maximilians University/Technical University. During her bachelor studies she came in touch with remote sensing and GIS for the first time. During several internships with a focus on GPS data processing and geoanalysis in the area of broadband expansion, 3D modeling and remote sensing, she gained in-depth insights into these topics.
She chose the EAGLE Master to gain deeper insights into the possibilities of earth observation and geodata processing using GIS, especially in urban remote sensing and hazard monitoring. Magdalena really likes the familiar atmosphere and the international composition of the Master program as well as the close connection to the German Aerospace Center (DLR).
Magdalena dances and boulders in her spare time and loves to travel to new countries.
