Yomna Hamza Eid
2018 EAGLE student | Member of the Students' Board
Yomna Hamza Eid (23) comes from Cairo, Egypt. She finished her bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Science and Technology at Zewail City, Egypt. During her final year, she decided to pursue space mission design in the context of environmental issues and was intrigued by the potential of remote sensing data in aiding the solution of these problems.
Since she spent her previous years studying the technical aspects of flying air- and space-borne missions, she decided to pursue a holistic picture by joining the EAGLE program. She ultimately hopes to deepen her theoretical and applied understanding of remote sensing in particular and the concept of Earth Observation in general.
When she’s not chilling with a TV series, she enjoys being distracted by her ever-changing interests.
