Fatmaelzahraa Elkhayat
2022 EAGLE Student
Fatmaelzahraa comes from Cairo, Egypt. She finished her bachelor’s degree in Geoscience at Ain-Shams University, Cairo, Egypt. During her undergraduate years, she gained much knowledge about the earth from different aspects and did her B.Sc. thesis on “processing of seismic data for better subsurface imaging”. After graduation, Fatma has been working in several international companies as a geophysicist in the processing and interpretation of seismic data in which she provides support and solutions to get the corrected subsurface image to make better decisions for further exploration aspects. Later, she completed the M.Sc. degree of Science in Geophysics, at Ain Shams University in cooperation with Apache Corporation. This “leap” could only be attributed to her love for what she was learning.
She is passionate about Earth Sciences such as Geology, Geophysics, Geography, GIS, Geoanalysis, and Remote Sensing. She has always been keen to continue her education through graduate programs; therefore, she found the EAGLE program and was thrilled by the courses offered in the program for all Earth observation applications. She joined EAGLE to acquire knowledge of new techniques for earth observation and geoanalysis. After the EAGLE program graduation, she is looking forward to working on environmental challenges specially related to Earth to find solutions for these global challenges.
She loves learning, listening and playing music. As a geo, she finds herself in nature, field trips, Camping, and spending time with friends.
