Farimah comes from Iran and she completed her bachelor’s degree in surveying engineering in her hometown Tehran. During her undergraduate years, she gained so much knowledge about earth from different aspects and did her B.Sc. thesis on “Urban Heat Islands”. But mainly became fascinated about Remote Sensing and all the applications of earth observation.

After graduation, Farimah has been working in a company as a technical manager which she specialized in survey instruments, market research and provide support and solutions to engineers and companies to make better decisions. However, it was not the path to her dream job. She has always been enthusiastic for continuing her education through graduate programs; therefore, she found the EAGLE program and was thrilled by courses offered in the program. As a remote sensing scientist to be, she is looking forward to working on environmental issues and finding solutions for global challenges in the environment.

She loves languages and being able to communicate with native people. Also loves learning, music, nature, all sorts of potable and vegan food ;).
