Ka Hei, Chow
2020 EAGLE Student
Ka Hei is from Hong Kong and studied Environmental- and Geo- science at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg. She is an adventurous nature-lover and is fascinated by the potential of remote sensing after involved in her GRACE project in Australia. Her previous work focused on sea-level rise and outlet glaciers in Antarctica. She is also keen on using EO data for biodiversity conservation and geo-hazard management. Ka Hei joined EAGLE since she wants to commit to local environmental concerns and learn about other cultures by working in an international NGO. She has previously worked in organization concerning urban poverty and sustainable agriculture.
Her favorite hobbies are backpacking across countries and trekking on high mountains. She enjoy all kinds of spontaneous journey meeting local people. She grown up next to the South China Sea so she loves all water sports. During Corona-time she cannot travel, so she spends more time reading and watching documentaries.
