2019 EAGLE student
Nils Karges did his Bachelor in Würzburg. During his stage studies he discovered Remote Sensing and Geoinformatics as perfect tools to detect and moreover to quantify and illustrate the ecological processes which drive the Earth´s environmental system and the relationship between them.
During a Hackaton at the European Space Agency (ESA) he had the chance to apply the knowledge of his lectures on real projects. The inspiring work led him to the decision to choose the EAGLE M. Sc. program, to deepen his methodological and applicational knowledge regarding Remote Sensing and Geoinformatics.
He is interested in software and algorithm development for data processing, including the application of modern machine- and deep learning techniques for solving complex (EO) problems.
