Antonio Castañeda

2019 EAGLE student | Member of the Students' Board

 

Antonio Castañeda studied geology in the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. He was characterized for being a hands-on student and pursued different projects related to the design and automatization of machines to model geologic processes or photogrammetry for geologic samples. He got in touch with Remote Sensing later on working as a geologist designing archaeological potential zones in western Colombia.

Antonio joined the EAGLE program to learn how to apply Remote Sensing to archeological and geological mapping, he is also interested in the identification of post-mining process and land surface dynamics.

Antonio enjoys landscape and macro photography, he likes hiking and dancing in his free time.
