Joy-Giovanni Matabishi (23) comes from Kigali, Rwanda. He did his Bachelor in Geography with a specialization in Environmental Management. He worked for CGIS (a GIS and Remote sensing research center) as well as being a contractor in different projects for both the government and international firms. His main interests are the applications of remote sensing in geology and mineral exploration, in agricultural monitoring and food security as well as animal movements; mainly because he thinks those are among key sectors in the economy of his home country and he would like to offer his support to the development of those sectors using remote sensing.

Besides, he is interested in various team sports, rarely misses his morning jog and is a choir member.
