Frederic Schwarzenbacher

2018 EAGLE student

Frederic Schwarzenbacher (24) is originally from Munich where he studied Geography (B.Sc.) at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University. During his bachelor’s degree he focused on physical geography and remote sensing. He did an internship at the space sector of Airbus. In this time, he contributed to the development of an “Image Navigation and Registration” software for an upcoming meteorological satellite. Subsequently, he wrote his bachelor thesis at Airbus whose main focus was on physical-geographical dependencies on the accuracy of image registration.

In the EAGLE program, he’s looking forward to improving his coding skills and to working with other types of satellite data, i.e. the evaluation of data from active sensors. His main motivation is to participate in using earth observation data so that an optimization of sustainable goals on a global scale is guaranteed.
