Sebastian Buchelt
2017 EAGLE Student
Sebastian Buchelt (23) comes from a small town close to Munich and studied Geography and Physics at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich for his Bachelor degree. During these studies he got in touch with Remote Sensing and found his passion there. After finishing his Bachelor, he did an one-year internship at the Radar Institute of DLR, where he gained a deep insight in modern SAR applications. His major interest lie in Global Change Analysis and monitoring Climate Change Effects. In his spare time he likes to go outside into nature for sailing, hiking or skiing, or if there is more time, to travel.
Sebastian chose the EAGLE program to broaden his knowledge in as many aspects of Remote Sensing as possible and to work in a thriving group of international students. He believes that Remote Sensing is a key tool to understand the main changes and challenges of the 21st century.
