Johni Miah

Johni Miah (26) is from Bangladesh. He attained his Bachelor Degree (B.Sc.) majoring in Geography and Environmental from Jagannath University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He has decent records of working in different research project funded by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST), Bangladesh, The International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research (icddr,b) and University Grant Commission (UGC), Bangladesh.
He has presented a number of research papers which appeared both in international and national conferences. He published his first international article based on GIS and RS: Nahar, N., Sultana, N. and Miah, J. 2017. Seasonal Land Cover Changes and Its Effects on Essential Services of Haor and Non-haor Areas of Kishoreganj District, Bangladesh. Asia Pacific Journal of Regional Science (Springer).
Johni believes that the EAGLE master’s program at the University of Würzburg will be the main staircase to fulfill his career goal and provides the opportunity to serve his country and conduct research for the welfare of the society. He presumes that being a student of the University of Würzburg would not just permit him to enhance his career, but also afford him the backdrop that can utilize his full competency. He feels that, as a Masters student in the EAGLE, he can be benefited from numerous challenging career prospects.
Johni was elected as a member of the EAGLE International Students’ Board and takes care about the organization of the study program.
