Karsten Wiertz (26) comes from the northern part of Germany, from the City of Hamburg. He likes music in general and he does play some instruments. Karsten is also interested in music production and a lot of different sports as running, cycling and hiking. He did his Bachelors in Geography at the University of Göttingen. Karsten’s special interests are remote sensing and its use in agriculture and forestry.

He joined the EAGLE program to improve his knowledge and his skills in these topics. Karsten believes that remote sensing enables the world to understand phenomena that occur and to solve problems from another angle. He thinks that the EALGE program is an exciting opportunity.
