Daniel Gruschwitz
2021 EAGLE Student
Daniel Gruschwitz comes from a village in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. He studied Geography at the Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen, where he got an insight into a range of research topics and scientific work. Early on in his studies, his interest in geoinformatics was awakened by multiple scientific assistant jobs and his tutoring on GIS and basic remote sensing. During his bachelor thesis, he focused on industrial building extraction, which was intriguing to him. Still, concerning future research fields, he wants to keep his range of working fields open and deepen his knowledge on multiple topics in the course of the EAGLE program.
His major motivational driver is to contribute at least a little bit to the mitigation of the global climate and environmental change consequences that humankind faces. In his free time, his passions are triathlon and long hikes in the mountains.
