Dilara Kim
2020 EAGLE Student
Dilara comes from Karaganda, a city in central Kazakhstan. She had an opportunity to pursue her Bachelor’s degree at Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST) in South Korea. After her freshman year, she decided to major in Environmental Sciences to transform the concern about our planet into knowledge. Throughout the studies, she did internships in climate modeling and remote sensing within the institute. At that time, she discovered the world of earth observation and realized its great potential for current environmental challenges. Dilara joined the EAGLE program to develop practical skills and further deepen her understanding of complex Earth processes.
In her free time, she enjoys listening to or reading books, taking long walks, and electronic music.
