Ása Dögg Aðalsteinsdóttir
2020 EAGLE Student
Ása is from the town Kópavogur in Iceland. She studied Geography at the University of Iceland where she developed a great interest in remote sensing and environmental change detection. Alongside her studies, she worked in the field of renewable energy and natural resources, which was a great experience. However, natural hazard assessments and glacial researches have been highly on her mind for a long time and she is excited to gain experience and knowledge through the EAGLE program to use remote sensing in those fields of work.
In her freetime she loves to go horseback riding, hiking and camping, preferably at the remotest places with good friends and family. Meeting friends over a good cup of coffee or nice beer can never go wrong and last but not least, she loves outdoors adventures with her two kids. During these Corona times, she has learned to appreciate long walks and runs and online games with friends.
