Ka Hei, Chow
2020 EAGLE Student
Ka Hei is from Hong Kong and studied Environmental- and Geo- science in Freiburg next to the beautiful black forest where she loves to spend time at. She is an adventurous nature-lover and backpacker, and was fascinated by the potential of remote sensing when she stayed in Canberra, Australia. Her previous work focused on sea-level rise and glaciers, whilst she is also keen on geo-hazard management in South Asia. Ka Hei joined EAGLE with her passion to use EO data to understand local climate impacts and facilitate better decisions for global communities following her believes in effective altruism.
Spontaneous travelling and trekking on high mountains are Ka Hei’s greatest zests. She has been in 30 countries and her curiosity grows ceaselessly. Also, she loves ocean because it is where she grew up next to. Apart from her official study, she likes to learn about philosophy, cognitive psychology and evolution. During Corona-time, she spends more time reading non-fictions and watching documentaries.
