James Brückheimer
2018 EAGLE student
James Brückheimer (29) comes from Brighton in southern England but lived near to Darmstadt (Germany) since he was 5 years old. After a few semesters in Applied Geosciences at the TU Darmstadt he did his Bachelor in Physical Geography at the Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main, where he specialized in remote sensing and biogeography. His interests lie in ecological and climate change topics, where he tries to understand the mechanisms that determine the future outcome of climate change impacts on our world.
James joined the EAGLE program to improve his remote sensing and modelling skills. He is thrilled by working with people from all around the world and sees the EAGLE program as a new challenge and also as a big opportunity for every EAGLE student.
In his free time he often goes climbing with his friends and loves to visit concerts. Besides that, he is a passionate musician himself playing various instruments and has taken part in several band projects.
